Laat de bonen uitlekken alvorens ze met nieuw water 45 minuten zachtjes gaar gekookt gaan worden. Verhit olie in een andere pan. Doe hier spek en worst in en bak deze bruin. Haal het gebakken vlees er even uit en laat wat vet in de pan. Zet deze daarna weer op het vuur en bak de uien, fijngesneden, tot deze goudbruin zijn. Wanneer de bonen gaar zijn, voeg de spek, worst, ui, laurierblad en pimentbessen toe. Laat het koken en voeg dan de tomaten, marjolein, zou en peper toe. Zachtjes laten sudderen. Als laatste, smelt boter en voeg hierbij de bloem toe om een bindmiddel te maken. Doe deze ook bij de stoofpot en laat het geheel dan nog even 15 minuten sudderen.
